Safe, peaceful environment to be ensured to mourners during Muharram: CPO

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) CPO Tanveer Hussain said that all resources would be utilized to provide a safe and peaceful environment to

the mourners during the Muharram-ul-Haram.

No person would be allowed to enter the Imambargah or Majalis without search.

He expressed these views during his visit to the Saddar police division on Thursday.

He said that strict surveillance and continuous monitoring would be carried out on the procession

routes and Majalis.

He warned that negligence in duty would not be tolerated and stern disciplinary action would be taken

against the guilty officials.

He instructed for strict checking of hotels, and rented houses in the district.

He further directed for taking strict action against the elements involved in spreading hateful and inflammatory

content on social media.

Earlier, he visited Imambargahs and procession routes in the limits of various police stations and inspected

security plan in central Imambargah Qaisar Abu-Talib.
