Safety measures ordered on under-construction roads

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Mar, 2026) Punjab Minister for Communication and Works (C&W) Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bharth has directed the officers of the Highways Department to implement all necessary safety measures on under-construction roads ahead of the rainy season, ensuring smooth traffic flow and preventing inconvenience to the public.

The minister emphasized that complete safety arrangements must also be in place during the upcoming Eid holidays. He instructed the installation of signboards at appropriate locations and the implementation of special precautions on the under-construction road leading to the Wagah Border to guarantee secure travel for citizens.

Officials of the Highways Department have been tasked with strictly following the directives to safeguard commuters and maintain road safety standards throughout the province during the monsoon and festive periods.
