NEW DELHI: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-July 28th, 2026) Bollywood actor Salman Khan has won a significant legal battle after the Delhi High Court ordered the makers of the upcoming film Kala Hiran: The Battle for Legacy to immediately remove its promotional material from all social media platforms.

Salman Khan had filed a petition submitting that the film was based on his controversial 1998 blackbuck poaching case and that its promotional content was damaging his reputation.

During the hearing, the Delhi High Court directed the film's producers to voluntarily remove the teaser and all related promotional material from online platforms. The court warned that if they failed to comply, social media platforms, including X and YouTube, would be instructed to take down the content.

After viewing the teaser in court, the judge reportedly expressed strong displeasure over its continued availability online.

The court questioned the filmmakers' conduct, stating that they appeared to believe they were "above the law."

The court also observed that the teaser's public circulation had the potential to harm Salman Khan's reputation, stressing that such treatment would be unacceptable even if it involved an ordinary citizen.

Salman Khan had approached the court seeking to halt the film's release, arguing that it portrayed events linked to his 1998 blackbuck hunting case and his alleged conflict with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, thereby causing reputational damage.

The court's latest order provides interim relief to the actor, while the legal proceedings in the matter are expected to continue.
