SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Apr, 2026) Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) on Friday organized a two-day international seminar on "Pakistan's Strategic Role: Navigating Regional Geopolitics Amidst Zionist and Hindutva Ambitions" at its premises.
The event, held under the auspices of the Institute of International Relations and Peace Studies, brought together prominent diplomats, scholars and policy experts from Pakistan and abroad.
The inaugural session was attended by Syed Fakhar Imam, Ambassador Qazi Khalilullah, Ambassador Dr. Masuma Hassan, and Vice Chancellor SALU, Meritorious Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk. Dr Khushk highlighted Pakistan's strategic importance, emphasizing its geographical position connecting South Asia, Central Asia and the middle East.
Chief Guest Syed Fakhar Imam praised Pakistan's role in promoting peace and stability, while Ambassador Masuma Hasan appreciated the stakeholders' efforts in enabling Pakistan's balanced act on the global stage.
Ambassador Qazi Khalilullah and Ambassador Atta ul Munim Shahid also shared their insights.
The seminar featured sessions on "Academic Voices of Balochistan" and "Pakistan as a Stabilizer Amid the US-Israel-Iran Conflict," with experts highlighting Pakistan's constructive role in promoting regional harmony and dialogue.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Yousuf Khushk appreciated the efforts of the organizers and thanked the participants for their valuable contributions. The seminar concluded with a message emphasizing peace, cooperation, and academic dialogue in addressing global challenges.
