Sarband police recover 18Kg of hashish, arrest suspects

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Mar, 2026) Acting on a targeted intelligence report, Sarband police successfully foiled a drug smuggling attempt on Saturday, resulting in the seizure of 18kg of hashish and arrest of one suspect.

The operation was led by SP Cantt Abdullah Ehsan, whose team intercepted a smuggling bid intended for other regions of the country.

The suspect, identified as Adnan Khan, was apprehended at Pishtkhara Chowk checkpoint within jurisdiction of Sarband Police Station.

During the initial investigation, the arrested confessed to his involvement in illicit trade. In addition to recovered narcotics, police confiscated vehicle used for transport.

The police have registered a case against the accused and have launched a further investigation.
