Sargodha commissioner reviews Muharram security, beautification work in Khushab city

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Jun, 2026) Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali visited Khushab district on Friday and reviewed the ongoing beautification work in Khushab city.

He made a detailed review of the routes of the main processions of Muharram-ul-Haram in Khushab district, the drainage of the rain that occurred yesterday and the ongoing drainage system works. Commissioner Sargodha Hafiz Shaukat Ali visited Kalma Chowk and Tehsil Office Road Khushab to review the ongoing work as per the beautification plan.

Deputy Commissioner Khushab Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Labar gave a briefing regarding the ongoing development projects of Khushab district and the steps taken regarding the routes of Muharram-ul-Haram processions. Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali said that special care should be taken regarding the quality and materials used in beautification works and no compromise will be made in this regard.

Commissioner Sargodha Division directed the concerned officers of Punjab Development Program to complete the ongoing works on the beautification plan within the stipulated time.

Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali directed Deputy Commissioner Khushab to keep a check and balance on the works of the beautification plan under the Punjab Development Program of the Chief Minister Punjab on a daily basis.

In addition, Commissioner Sargodha Hafiz Shaukat Ali visited the Kabuli Gate, the main procession route of Muharram-ul-Haram. Commissioner Sargodha said that the routes of all small and big processions should be cleared before the month of Muharram-ul-Haram. Construction and repair, cleanliness and hanging electric wires on the procession routes should be done immediately. Commissioner Sargodha Hafiz Shaukat Ali said that immediate steps should be taken for the drainage of rainwater so that people do not face any difficulty. He directed Deputy Commissioner Khushab to personally supervise the ongoing drainage system project. On this occasion, AC Khushab, ADCG Khushab Ghazala Kanwal, CEO MC Khushab Sundas and officers of other departments were present.
