HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Apr, 2026) Sindh Agriculture University (SAU), Tandojam has achieved another milestone as its students secured third position in a national-level declamation contest held in Multan, featuring participants from 20 leading universities across the country. Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Altaf Ali Siyal lauded the performance of students and hosted a brief ceremony in their honour.
According to the statement issued by the SAU spokesperson, four students from SAU represented the university in the 2nd All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation Contest (APDC-26), organized by the Debating Club of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Agriculture, Multan. The competition brought together 65 selected participants from prominent institutions nationwide.
In the contest, Ms. Suhaira Noor, a student of the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, secured third position in the English category, earning a shield, while Ms. Kausar Fatima Panhwer from the Institute of food Science and Technology was awarded a special certificate in recognition of her outstanding performance.
Other participants, including Muhammad Faisal and Asad Ali Bughio also represented the university commendably.
A ceremony was also held at SAU under the auspices of the Debate Society, presided over by Vice Chancellor Dr. Altaf Ali Siyal. Speaking on the occasion, he described achievement of students as a matter of pride for the university, stating that securing a prominent position among top-tier institutions reflects SAU’s commitment to fostering intellectual and creative abilities among its students.
He also appreciated the efforts of Dr. Muhammad Ismail Kumbhar (Chairman STEP) and Dr. Zaheer Ahmed Khan.
Dr. Zaheer Ahmed Khan, focal person of the Debate Society, remarked that SAU students were successfully competing with those from leading universities, adding that further expansion of co-curricular activities remains a key priority.
