SAU VC meets HEC Chairman to discuss academic development

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Mar, 2026) The Vice Chancellor of Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) Engr. Prof. Dr. Altaf Ali Siyal held an informal meeting with Dr. Niaz According to the SAU spokesperson, the meeting focused on matters of mutual interest, particularly academic development, institutional strengthening and ongoing initiatives at SAU.

Discussions also covered key issues related to the university’s Umerkot campus, with special emphasis on its expansion and future development.

Both sides described the meeting as constructive and reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing the quality of higher education, while addressing the challenges faced by public sector universities in Sindh.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Niaz Akhtar said that HEC would continue to support universities in improving education standards and strengthening research facilities. The Vice Chancellor stated that SAU remains committed to providing quality education and further developing its campuses including Umerkot.

The meeting concluded with both sides agreeing to maintain close coordination and cooperation for the advancement of higher education in the country.
