The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed solidarity with the Kuwaiti government and people

Riyadh/Kuwait City: (UrduPoint /UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-June 1st, 2026) Saudi Arabia has condemned the alleged Iranian missile and drone attacks on Kuwait, describing them as a violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, the United Nations Charter and international law.

In a statement, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed solidarity with the Kuwaiti government and people, reaffirming the Kingdom’s support for all measures taken by Kuwait to protect its sovereignty, security and stability.

The ministry also underscored the importance of international efforts to maintain peace and security in the region and called for continued cooperation to prevent further escalation.

Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti military said its air defence systems had successfully intercepted and thwarted enemy missile and drone attacks targeting the country.

According to a statement issued by the armed forces, the explosions heard across various parts of Kuwait were caused by air defence operations responding to the incoming threats. Air raid sirens were sounded nationwide during the incident as a precautionary measure.

The military said the country’s defence forces remain fully prepared to confront any threat and ensure the protection of Kuwait’s territorial integrity and national security.

No immediate reports of casualties or damage were released.
