Saudi Arabia launches digital contracting system for Umrah 1448 AH season

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has launched a new digital service for qualifying external agents and finalizing contracts for the 1448 AH Umrah season through the Masar Nusuk platform to improve operational efficiency and strengthen readiness for the upcoming Umrah season.

According to SPA, the initiative is part of an integrated digital ecosystem aimed at automating contracting procedures and enhancing service quality across the Umrah sector.

The ministry said the new service enables full electronic processing of all contracting stages through a unified digital contract model verified using QR code technology on the Nusuk platform.

It added that Saudi Umrah companies will also be able to contract electronically with local service providers through Masar Nusuk for accommodation, transportation, catering, value-added services and Umrah package design.

The report said these arrangements are being completed ahead of the start of Umrah visa application submissions and processing scheduled for 14 Dhul-Hijjah, while issuance of Umrah permits through the Nusuk app will begin on 15 Dhul-Hijjah.

The ministry said the new measures are aimed at improving pilgrims’ experience, raising service standards and enhancing digital and operational integration within the Umrah system.
