ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2026) Saudi Arabia has transformed the Hajj pilgrimage into one of the world’s largest integrated digital operations by utilizing artificial intelligence, smart applications and advanced government technologies to serve millions of pilgrims during Hajj 1447 AH.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), government institutions are working through a unified digital ecosystem to provide safer, faster and more organized services for pilgrims arriving from around the world.
The report said digital systems at air, land and sea entry points are supporting pilgrim reception and communication in more than 136 languages through instant translation technologies, helping facilitate entry procedures, movement and guidance services.
Authorities said smart security systems based on real-time data analysis and field monitoring are being used in the holy sites to improve crowd management, regulate human and vehicle movement and strengthen emergency response capabilities during peak Hajj days.
SPA told APP that Saudi Arabia has also introduced advanced digital transport systems, including automated monitoring technologies that helped raise transport compliance levels to 93 percent while reducing dependence on conventional inspection methods.
In the healthcare sector, government agencies are operating integrated digital medical systems through platforms such as Nafis, telemedicine services and smart laboratory and medicine-management systems to improve treatment efficiency and speed up access to medical information for pilgrims.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The report said artificial intelligence technologies are additionally being used in healthcare services through smart symptom-checking tools that analyze medical history and provide instant health guidance to pilgrims.
Authorities added that the Nusuk application now offers more than 130 digital services to over 51 million users worldwide, including navigation, digital guidance, transportation support and sacrificial services for pilgrims.
According to SPA, the national Tawakkalna platform is also providing more than 1,300 digital services integrated with over 350 government entities to support pilgrims through permit services, emergency assistance, weather updates and multilingual Arafat sermon services.
The report added that Saudi Arabia has also expanded digital accessibility services for people with disabilities through specialized applications offering sign-language interpretation, visual assistance and emergency support services inside the holy sites.
Officials said the Hajj 1447 AH season reflects Saudi Arabia’s continued efforts to build a people-centered digital government system focused on improving pilgrims’ spiritual experience through modern technology and smart operational solutions.
