ISLAMABAD: More than 44,000 Pakistani pilgrims have arrived in Saudi Arabia for Hajj 2026 as the country’s pre-pilgrimage flight operation continues, Pakistan’s religious affairs ministry said on Thursday.
Pakistan began its Hajj flight operation on April 18. So far, 39,959 pilgrims have travelled under the government scheme, while another 6,673 reached the Kingdom through private Hajj operators.
The government has introduced several facilities to support pilgrims during their journey. These include accommodation, transportation, meals, and medical services to help ensure a smooth and comfortable Hajj experience.
Officials are also monitoring arrangements closely to manage the large number of travelers arriving in Saudi Arabia.
The ministry said the mission includes departments for administration, accounts, airport reception, accommodation, food, transport, Haram guidance, call centre services, complaints handling, lost and found, wheelchair assistance, and media coordination.
The annual Hajj pilgrimage brings together millions of Muslims from around the world. For Pakistani pilgrims, preparations and travel operations remain in full swing as the country continues sending worshippers to Saudi Arabia for one of the most important religious gatherings in Islam.
