SCCI and UMT Sialkot discuss academic-industry collaboration

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th May, 2026) Dr Raza Ullah Shah, Chairman of the Departmental Committee on Research Management for Sustainable Development at the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), visited the University of Management and Technology (UMT) Sialkot Campus to discuss opportunities for collaboration between academia and industry.

During the visit, Executive Director Campus Prof. Dr. Saleem Farooq Shaukat held a detailed meeting with Dr. Raza Ullah Shah. Both sides discussed various collaborative avenues between SCCI and UMT Sialkot aimed at promoting applied research, innovation, and sustainable development.

It was mutually agreed to work together for strengthening research-based initiatives and enhancing cooperation to bridge the gap between academic institutions and the industrial sector.

Prof. Dr. Saleem Farooq Shaukat reaffirmed that UMT Sialkot is committed to providing all necessary support to SCCI in its efforts to connect academia with industry and promote sustainable growth through innovation and research.
