SCCI,HEC discuss research management standard for sustainable development

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2026) The Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI),through its departmental committee on research development for Sustainable Development on Friday held a meeting with senior leadership of the Higher education Commission (HEC) to discuss Pakistan Standard PS 5549:2022 on research management for sustainable development.

The HEC delegation comprised Prof.Dr.

Engineer Muhammad Ali Nasir,Advisor Research and Innovation Division and Dr Amjad Hussain,Director General Research and Innovation Division.

The SCCI delegation was led by President Syed Ahtesham Mazhar,accompanied by Chairman Committee Dr.Raza Ullah Shah.

The meeting focused on strengthening academia-industry linkages,promoting structured and impact-oriented research and exploring collaborative avenues for innovation and sustainable development in alignment with national priorities.
