SCCI president meets food safety officials

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Apr, 2026) Syed Ahtesham Mazhar, President of the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI),

held a meeting at SCCI with Rana Muhammad Latif, Assistant Director food Safety and Consumer

Protection Council Sialkot, along with Muhammad Ashfaq Nazar, Non-Official Member.

During the meeting, the delegation formally presented the notification regarding the appointment

of the Non-Official Member of the Consumer Protection Council. They also provided a detailed briefing on the implementation and enforcement of consumer protection laws in the region.

Both sides discussed the significance of strengthening consumer rights, ensuring fair business practices, and enhancing coordination between regulatory authorities and the business community.

The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to promote awareness and effective application

of consumer protection regulations in Sialkot.
