Scholarships offered for overseas Pakistani children and Wives

ISLAMABAD: Overseas Pakistanis contribute significantly to the national exchequer through their remittances; however, many face challenges in finding affordable higher education opportunities for their children abroad.

The Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) has launched an all-inclusive Scholarship Program for children and spouses of Overseas Pakistanis (O.P.A.). This Program is aimed at supporting overseas Pakistanis with financial assistance.

Scholarships are available to:

• Intermediate (HSSC) students
• Undergraduate students (e.g., MBBS, BDS, engineering, etc.)
• Postgraduate students (e.g., Master’s or MS programs)

Eligibility Requirements

The requirements to qualify for the Grant are as follows:

• Academic Achievement: Minimum of 60% marks or a 2.50 CGPA (cumulative grade point average) on the last exam taken.
• OPF Membership: Either one parent (mother or father) or the student’s spouse must be a registered OPF member (registering as a member occurs automatically when your application has been processed and you receive your stamp from the Protector of Emigrants).
• Income Cap: Your family income each month cannot exceed Rs 200,000, nor can it be earned by working for somebody else.
• No Prior Scholarship: You cannot be a recipient of any other scholarship during the current academic year.
• Child of deceased member: A child of a deceased registered OPF will be considered under special compassionate conditions.

How to Apply

Application forms can be downloaded directly from the official OPF website or obtained in person from OPF regional offices located in Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, and Mirpur.

Important Dates

The deadline for the submission of completed application forms is April 30, 2026.
