Schools allowed to set up summer camps

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th May, 2026) The Punjab school education Department has given permission to set up summer camps for private and government schools.

Summer camps will continue from June 1 to June 30 from 7 am to 10 am. These camps will be held only from Monday to Thursday, while Friday will be a holiday.

Participation in summer camps will not be mandatory for students.

Private schools will not be able to charge additional fees for summer camps. Participation of children will not be possible without parental permission.

Uniform is not mandatory during summer camps, clothes will be allowed according to the weather.

The schools administration was directed to ensure basic facilities including cold water, fans and first aid.

The department has indicated action against violation of rules.

The Education minister also shared a notification allowing government and private schools to set up summer camps.
