FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali has urged the agricultural scientists to enhance tangible efforts for addressing the agrarian challenges with tangible research work and skill manpower.

He chaired the Senate meeting as Chancellor’s nominee. Registrar Dr Asif Kamran presented the agenda.

Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali said that scientists are making dedicated efforts to promote modern agricultural practices in place of traditional methods. He said that the university is strengthening academia-industry collaboration to ensure the timely transfer of advanced technologies to farmers and agricultural fields.

He emphasized that innovation plays a key role in agricultural development. He said that providing farmers with timely training, modern farming techniques, and access to research can enhance their capacity and help them achieve better profitability.

He stressed the need to produce skilled and trained manpower for a better tomorrow and agricultural sector. He urged the scientists to transform scientific knowledge into practical solutions to ensure sustainable food security. He remarked that precision agriculture has become a necessity rather than a choice, adding that modern technologies must be adopted to achieve maximum productivity with minimum use of resources.
