Second edition of Baseball rules book to be unveiled on March 29

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Mar, 2026) The second edition of the book Baseball Rules, authored by International Baseball Umpire Muhammad Jamil Kamran, will be officially launched on Sunday, March 29, at the Bahauddin Zakariya E-Library Sports Complex, Multan. The event will be attended by officials of the Baseball Federation as well as prominent personalities from various sports disciplines.

According to details shared, Muhammad Jamil Kamran first published the urdu edition of Baseball Rules in 2003. The new edition, released after 23 years, incorporates updated regulations and modern practices, including new rules tailored for domestic baseball competitions, which will come into effect this year.

Speaking at a preparatory meeting chaired by Ata-ur-Rehman Khan, Divisional Sports Officer Multan, Muhammad Jamil Kamran highlighted that the revised edition reflects his extensive experience and adapts international standards to the local baseball structure.

Ata-ur-Rehman Khan lauded Kamran’s invaluable contributions to the promotion of baseball, stating that the book will serve as a key resource for coaches, players, and umpires associated with the sport.
