Secretary C&W directs to expedite pace of ongoing uplift projects

On special directive of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, Secretary Communications and Works (C&W) Babar Khan on Monday made a detailed visit to various important projects to accelerate the pace of ongoing development projects in the provincial capital Quetta

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2026) On special directive of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, Secretary Communications and Works (C&W) Babar Khan on Monday made a detailed visit to various important projects to accelerate the pace of ongoing development projects in the provincial capital Quetta.

During the visit, he reviewed the ongoing work on the Red Zone, Chaman Phatak to Koila Phatak, Alamo Chowk Airport Road and Chashma Pul projects and took a briefing from the concerned authorities about the progress.

Chief Engineer Federal Projects Dr. Sajjad Baloch, Executive Engineer E&M Works Division Haji Muhammad Anwar, Executive Engineer Roads Sariab Division Habib Ahmed, Executive Engineer Roads Kuchlak Division Qazi Sanaullah and other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.

Secretary Communications and Works inspected the sites of various projects and reviewed the ongoing construction activities in detail.

Executive Engineers and other officers gave a comprehensive briefing to the Secretary regarding the current progress of the projects, challenges faced and expected completion times.

Secretary Communications and Works Babar Khan directed that the completion of all ongoing development projects should be expedited and the quality should be improved so that the public could get facilities as soon as possible.

He said that all these projects are of utmost importance and their timely completion would reduce traffic problems in the city and provide significant relief to the citizens.

He strongly urged the officers concerned not to compromise on the quality of work and complete the projects within the stipulated time.
