KOHAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Mar, 2026) In a decisive move to uphold transparency, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz on Monday formally imposed Section 144 across Kohat to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the Secondary school Certificate (SSC) Annual-I Examination 2026 under the board of Intermediate and Secondary education Kohat. According to official sources, the order will remain in force from March 31 to April 20, 2026.
Under the directive, strict preventive measures have been introduced around examination centers. Moreover, activities such as the sale of pocket guides, use of photocopying services, availability of cheating material, and the presence of unauthorized persons near exam venues during paper timings have been completely banned to curb malpractice.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that these steps are essential to discourage unfair means and protect the integrity of the examination process. Consequently, any violation of the imposed restrictions will be dealt with firmly under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Copies of the notification have been promptly dispatched to relevant authorities, including the Commissioner Kohat Division, District Police Officer Kohat, and Controller of Examinations BISE Kohat. Furthermore, officials have been directed to ensure strict compliance with the orders to maintain a transparent and disciplined examination environment.
