ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) The district administration has imposed Section 144 across Abbottabad ahead of Eid-ul-Azha to maintain law and order, ensure public safety, and protect citizens lives and property.
According to the notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad, bathing, swimming, fishing, and other dangerous activities at flood-prone and sensitive locations have been banned for two months.
The administration has also imposed a seven-day ban from May 25 to May 31 on illegal cattle markets, double riding, one-wheeling, and riding motorcycles without helmets.
A complete ban has further been enforced on aerial firing, fireworks, and the sale and purchase of firecrackers during the Eid holidays.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The notification stated that the sale and purchase of animal hides and collection of donations without a No Objection Certificate (NOC) will not be allowed.
Meanwhile, operating chairlifts, cable cars, and amusement rides without an NOC, or carrying passengers beyond the prescribed capacity, has also been prohibited.
The district administration warned that strict legal action would be taken against individuals disposing of animal waste and offal at undesignated places or violating the imposed restrictions.
Citizens have been urged to cooperate with the district administration and follow the issued SOPs to help maintain cleanliness, peace, and security during Eid-ul-Azha.
