KOHAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Kohat Muhammad Nawaz Wazir has imposed Section 144 across the district for 15 days ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, banning a range of activities to maintain law and order and ensure public safety.
According to an official notification, the order prohibits the sale and use of fireworks and toy-like firearms, carrying or displaying weapons in public, and aerial firing.
It also bans swimming, bathing or boating in dams, rivers, canals and other water reservoirs, as well as dangerous stunts including one-wheel riding on roads.
The deputy commissioner warned that strict action would be taken against violators under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
He urged citizens to fully comply with the restrictions to help ensure a safe and secure environment during the festive period.
The measure has been taken as a precaution to prevent accidents and maintain public order during Eid celebrations in the district.
