Senior journalist felicitated on receiving lifetime membership from International Sports Association

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2026) The office bearers of Abasin Columnists Association, a representative organization of prominent columnists and analysts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, organized a meeting to extend their heartfelt congratulations to Senior Sports Journalist, Amjad Aziz Malik on being awarded honorary lifetime membership of International Association of Sports Journalists (AIPS).

According to a press release issued here on Friday, the meeting was held under the chairmanship of Abasin Columnists Association President, Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi and attended by Senior Vice President Nayyar Sarhadi, Vice President Dr. Alamgir Afridi, General Secretary Abid Akhtar Hassan, Secretary Finance Waseem Shaida, Joint Vice President Women’s Department Dr. Shaheen Umar, Joint Secretary Samina Qadir, Press Secretary Yasin Zahoor, Legal Advisor Sahibzada Talha Saeed and Organizer Munawar Shah Munawar, Syeda Anam Sanaw Naqvi, Shayan.

In his congratulatory message, the renowned columnist, Zia Sarhadi said that this wonderful achievement of Amjad Aziz Malik is a recognition of his personal hard work, professional skills and valuable services in the field of sports journalism, but it is also a great honor for the entire Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and the country of Pakistan.

He said that receiving this honor at the AIPS Congress held in Lausanne, Switzerland is proof that Pakistani journalists are proving their capabilities at the global level.

Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi expressed the hope that Amjad Aziz Malik will continue to bring glory to the country and nation with the same passion in the future and will continue to play his role in the promotion of sports journalism.

He said that Amjad Aziz Malik is a Presidential Award-winning journalist who has earned so much respect and name in the field of journalism that young journalists consider him as their mentor.

Zia Sarhadi advised young journalists to learn from Amjad Aziz Malik so that in the future they too can bring glory to the country and nation.
