GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Apr, 2026) District Police have arrested seven suspects, including two women, and recovered cash, stolen property and an illegal weapon during a series of operations across the district.
According to a police spokesperson, the actions were carried out on the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Rana Umar Farooq to curb rising incidents of theft and robbery. The operations were conducted under the supervision of DSP Lalamusa Circle Chaudhry Ahsan Zafar Sandhu and SHO City Lalamusa Inspector Nasir Mehmood along with their teams.
In the first case, two women identified as Nazmi Bibi and Iman Fatima were arrested for stealing a gold ring worth Rs 200,000 from a jeweller’s shop in Nizam Pura. In another operation, suspects Sufyan and Owais were held for stealing five goats from Chakkar Mohalla, with Rs 50,000 recovered.
In a third case, three suspects were arrested for snatching a motorcycle at gunpoint, recovering Rs 60,000 and a 30-bore pistol.
Cases have been registered against the accused and further investigation is underway.
