MUZAFFARABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore has said that the government during its seven months rule had initiated historic development projects all across the liberated territory.

.He was addressing a public gathering on Thursday in the outskirts of capital Muzaffarabad, organised by Health Minister Syed Bazil Ali Naqvi in his constituency.

He said his government had introduced an education package, expanded the road network, improved the political environment and set the process of development and progress in motion across the state.

Announcing several development schemes for the area, pm Rathore said a primary school would be established in Chalhian, while Daban would officially be renamed as Khanpur.

He also announced the upgradation of Primary School Ratiali, the elevation of Daban High School to higher secondary level and the inclusion of BHU Daban in the next fiscal budget.

“We do not believe in empty promises but in practical implementation,” he said, adding that the government had strengthened public trust by keeping the doors of the Prime Minister’s Secretariat open and ensuring equal development across the state.

Referring to the PPP’s political role, he said the party had restored political stability in Azad Kashmir and its workers remained active at the grassroots level.

The Prime Minister also referred to Pakistan’s military response during the Mark e Haq, stating that the armed forces had given a befitting reply to Indian aggression.

Welcoming new entrants into the party fold, prime minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore described the PPP as a party that has always strived and sacrificed for democracy and Pakistan.

He expressed confidence in his government’s performance, saying the seven-month tenure had already demonstrated its capability and would pave the way for another electoral victory.

Praising Syed Bazil Ali Naqvi, the Prime Minister said the minister had shown exceptional dedication to resolving the problems of his constituency and pursuing development projects for the people.

He thanked the Prime Minister for attending the gathering and described his visit as a continuation of the commitments made to the people by his late father during his historic visit to Khanpur in 1991.

A large number of PPP workers, local representatives and residents attended the gathering.On the occasion, hundreds of people belonging to different political parties announced their joining of the PPP.
