Seven Pakistan players storm into quarterfinals of Asian Junior Squash Championships

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2026) Pakistan continued its impressive run in the 33rd Asian Junior Individual Squash Championships 2026 as seven national players advanced to the quarterfinals after recording dominant victories on Day Two of the event being held in China, according to information made available here by Pakistan Squash Federation.

Pakistan’s young squash talent displayed remarkable skill and confidence against strong international opponents, underlining the country’s growing strength at the junior level.

In the Under-13 category, Muhammad Mustafa Khan secured a convincing 3-1 victory over Aaron Arambhan. After winning the first two games 11-6 and 11-9, Mustafa briefly lost momentum in the third game 9-11 before regaining control to clinch the fourth game 11-6 and seal the match in 33 minutes.

In the Under-15 category, Ahmad Rayyan Khalil outclassed Nok Yi Brady in straight games, winning 11-3, 11-6 and 11-4 in just 16 minutes. Fellow Pakistani player Muhammad Sohail Adnan also produced a commanding performance, defeating Dhruv Johri 3-0 with game scores of 11-6, 13-11 and 11-3 in 31 minutes.

Pakistan’s dominance continued in the Under-17 event where Muhammad Umair Arif defeated Muhammad Raihan Mohd 3-0 with scores of 11-7, 11-7 and 11-6 in 25 minutes. Nauman Khan also moved into the quarterfinals after overcoming Chun Hin Ho in straight games 11-6, 11-2 and 13-11 during a 38-minute contest.

In the Under-19 category, Abdullah Nawaz comfortably defeated Ka Hei Lei 3-0 with scores of 11-3, 11-9 and 11-4 in 29 minutes to book his place in the last eight.

Among girls, Mahnoor Ali fought brilliantly in a thrilling five-game encounter against Sehrish Ali in the Under-15 category. After losing the opening game 7-11, Mahnoor bounced back strongly to win the next two games 11-9 and 11-3. Sehrish levelled the match by taking the fourth game 11-6, but Mahnoor held her nerves in the decider to win 11-7 and complete a hard-fought 3-2 victory in 43 minutes.
