Several Kite-Violators arrested, illegal kite string wheels recovered

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Apr, 2026) Several criminals including the accused of making illegal kite string have been arrested. Gujarpura Police, acting on a tip-off, arrested the accused Aftab, who was making illegal kite string at home on China Scheme Road and selling it on online orders, and recovered ready-made spinning wheels for making cords.

With the help of Safe City cameras, the accused who stole valuables by breaking the windows of parked vehicles in Model Town, Shadman, Main Boulevard and MM Alam Road and other areas was also arrested.

It may be mentioned here that DIG Operations Faisal Kamran held an anti-crime meeting here on Sunday saying kite flying will not be tolerated under any circumstances. There is a zero-tolerance policy.
