Sheikh Aftab inaugurates Rs. 20 million development schemes in Kamra Cantt

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Jun, 2026) Member National Assembly and Member Supreme Judicial Council Sheikh Aftab Ahmed has said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Federal and Punjab governments of Pakistan Muslim League-N are actively working for public welfare, while Pakistan is moving towards progress under the leadership of PML-N Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

He expressed these views while addressing a public gathering organized by Pakistan Muslim League-N Kamra after unveiling the plaque of development schemes worth Rs20 million, funded through his special grant, for sewerage lines and paved streets in Ward No. 1, 2 and 5 of Kamra Cantt, Tehsil Hazro. The development work was carried out under the supervision of Cantonment board Kamra.

The public gathering was also addressed by Member Punjab Chief Minister Monitoring Committee and former provincial minister Jahangir Khanzada, PML-N district president Muhammad Saleem Shahzad, PML-N Hazro tehsil president Malik Ansar Ahmed, PML-N Kamra Cantt president Shah Jahan, general secretary and former vice president Cantonment Board Kamra Chan Zaib and other speakers.

Aftab said that he had contested several general elections along with former provincial minister Shaheed Col.

Shuja Khanzada and his family. He said that now he and former provincial minister Jahangir Khanzada were jointly pursuing development work and public welfare projects in NA-49 and PP-1.

He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal General Asim Munir, Pakistan had been introduced to the world as a dignified country and had emerged as a strong nation. He added that the current inflation and economic hardship would soon come to an end and a new golden era would begin in the country.

Sheikh Aftab Ahmed said that since the creation of Pakistan, real development had taken place only during the tenure of Pakistan Muslim League-N. He said that the motorway was built during the era of PML-N Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, which provides safe and fast travel in peacetime and can also be used as an airstrip during wartime. He said that the credit for making Pakistan an atomic power also goes to Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

He further said that Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s leadership had also played a vital role in steering the country out of the electricity crisis and the deteriorating law and order situation. He said that Pakistan’s current journey towards progress was a clear reflection of the efforts of the PML-N leadership.
