Sheikh Ayaz Mushaira held at Sukkur Arts Council

SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Mar, 2026) The Mushaira event was presided over by Dr Anis-ur-Rehman, with renowned Poet Dr Adal Soomro and Mumtaz Bukhari as guests of honor here on Wednesday.

Ayaz Gul, Convener of the Literary Wing, welcomed the guests and said the event was being held in the name of Sheikh Ayaz, a great poet who contributed significantly to Sindhi literature.

The event featured prominent poets, including Sheikh Irshad, Jabar Mahar, Asad Chachar and others, who recited their poetry to a large audience.

The mushaira was attended by poets, writers and a number of citizens from Sukkur, Rohri, Shikarpur, Khairpur and other areas.

The event was hosted by Amar Iqbal and the Literary Wing announced plans to hold a province level mushaira soon, inviting renowned poets from across Sindh.
