ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Apr, 2026) Senator Sherry Rehman on Saturday praised Pakistan’s rising diplomatic stature, emphasizing the country’s key role in rebuilding trust and bringing adversaries to the negotiation table, while also noting that India, which once labeled Pakistan as a "terrorist hub," now found it hard to tolerate the country’s new focus on peace and global diplomacy.

Talking to local media, Senator Sherry Rehman, a senior leader of Pakistan Peoples Party, praised Pakistan’s diplomatic victory for taking both the countries to negotiation table from the war zone, which had engulfed the entire region in conflict.

She explained that both nations needed to preserve their core interests while each country sought face-saving for its own people, adding, Pakistan’s role was crucial in giving both sides space to discuss these points.

She emphasized that Pakistan would ensure both countries' concerns were heard, maintaining trust and fostering an environment for constructive dialogue.

Rehman acknowledged the support from countries like Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and China, but stressed that Pakistan’s leadership had been central in bringing these opposing nations together.

She noted that Pakistan’s diplomacy had created a platform where both sides could negotiate peacefully without compromising their core positions.
