QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Apr, 2026) Provincial Finance and Minerals Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani chaired an important meeting on the Kharaan Town Development Initiative, attended by Deputy Commissioner Kharaan Munir Ahmed Soomro, relevant officials, and representatives of the local business community.

During the session, traders were briefed on the scope of the project and its expected progress, based on surveys conducted earlier, said a news release. Business representatives presented their suggestions, which were carefully noted by the authorities.

Minister Shoaib Nosherwani assured participants that if any shops, kiosks, huts, or other properties are affected during the development process, full compensation will be provided in accordance with law and regulations.

He emphasized that the government will safeguard citizens’ rights and ensure that no injustice occurs.

In parallel, Nosherwani also convened an All-Parties Jirga to discuss law and order in Kharaan. He stressed that peace and security in the district are non-negotiable and that the administration will take strict action against criminal elements without discrimination. He acknowledged public concerns and pledged that positive changes would soon be visible, reaffirming the government’s commitment to maintaining stability in the region.

The meeting concluded with a pledge to maintain continuous engagement with the trader community, resolving issues through consultation to ensure that development efforts proceed smoothly without disruption.
