SIA Summit 2.0 concludes

The Social Innovation Academy (SIA) in collaboration with the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP), concluded SIA Summit 2.0 titled as “Building a Women-Led Social Enterprise Ecosystem in Pakistan”

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Apr, 2026) The Social Innovation academy (SIA) in collaboration with the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP), concluded SIA Summit 2.0 titled as “Building a Women-Led Social Enterprise Ecosystem in Pakistan”. 

The summit brought together more than 300 participants, including policymakers, entrepreneurs, investors, development partners, academia, and youth leaders, with strong representation of women-led enterprises from across the country, said a press release.

The event served as a national platform to address key barriers facing women entrepreneurs and to promote scalable, impact-driven solutions.

Speaking on the occasion, CEO SIA, Ali Zain Ul Abidin highlighted that empowering women through social entrepreneurship is essential for Pakistan’s economic progress and social transformation.

The Chairman PMYP, Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan as Chief Guest, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to enabling youth and women through entrepreneurship, skills development, and inclusive policies.

A major outcome of the summit was the launch of the Social Enterprise Network Pakistan (SENPak), a national digital platform designed to connect social entrepreneurs, investors, enabling collaboration, knowledge exchange, and sustained ecosystem development.

The summit featured high-level keynote sessions, panel discussions, and a Women’s Innovation Marketplace, showcasing women-led social enterprises.

The discussions focused on financial inclusion, digital empowerment, policy reform, and market access, while interactive sessions facilitated partnerships, mentorship, and investment opportunities.

A dedicated Collaborative Projects Lab produced actionable roadmaps across key areas of women’s economic empowerment, reinforcing commitments from stakeholders for post-summit implementation.

Concluding with a Commitment and Award Ceremony, the summit underscored the critical role of women-led social enterprises in addressing challenges in education, healthcare, livelihoods, and climate resilience, while contributing to Pakistan’s economic growth.
