LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jun, 2026) Indian Sikh pilgrims, who arrived in Pakistan to participate in the martyrdom anniversary commemorations of Guru Arjan Dev Ji being organised under the Evacuee Trust Property board (ETPB), visited Gurdwara Panja Sahib in Hasan Abdal and performed their religious rituals with devotion.
The pilgrims also visited the shrine of Baba Wali Kandhari, offered prayers at the Gurdwara, performed mattha tek, and actively participated in various religious ceremonies, expressing deep spiritual reverence during their visit.
ETPB Additional Secretary Shrines Nisar Mushtaq visited Gurdwara Panja Sahib to review arrangements made for the pilgrims. He inspected accommodation, langar (community kitchen), cleanliness, medical facilities, transport, and security arrangements, and directed the concerned officials to ensure the provision of all possible facilities to facilitate the pilgrims in the best possible manner.
On the other hand, the Indian Sikh pilgrims expressed complete satisfaction over the arrangements and extended gratitude to the Government of Pakistan, Chairman Evacuee Trust Property Board Qamar Zaman, Additional Secretary Shrines Nisar Mushtaq, and the entire administration.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>They stated that the upkeep, cleanliness, accommodation, langar services, and security arrangements at the gurdwaras in Pakistan are exemplary. The pilgrims further said that the renovation, painting, and maintenance work have enhanced the beauty and spiritual atmosphere of the gurdwaras.
Additional Secretary Nisar Mushtaq said that, on the special directions of Chairman Evacuee Trust Property Board Qamar Zaman, world-class facilities are being provided to the pilgrims. He added that the visit of Sikh yatrees to Pakistan is a shining example of religious harmony, interfaith coexistence, and the promotion of religious tourism.
He informed that the Sikh pilgrims will depart for Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur on June 14, while the main ceremony of Guru Arjan Dev Ji’s martyrdom anniversary will be held at Gurdwara Dera Sahib Lahore on June 16.
