Sindh Agriculture Departments step up efforts to ensure quality seed supply for farmers

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Mar, 2026) The Agriculture Extension Department Sindh has said that the Federal seed certification department and the provincial agriculture extension department are making continuous efforts to ensure the provision of quality seeds to farmers.

According to a statement issued by the department’s media focal person on Tuesday, relevant officials from both departments are conducting seed sampling across all districts of Sindh. He added that with the cultivation season already underway, the campaign for seed inspection had been further accelerated.

The Director General Agriculture Extension Sindh Allah Warayo Rind has directed all extension officers across the province to intensify inspection drives not only for plant seeds but also for all crops and vegetables. The aim is to ensure the availability of certified and high quality seeds to farmers during the Kharif season.

Meanwhile, in Badin, the Additional Director has taken strict notice of complaints regarding okra seeds and has launched a district wide inspection and sampling campaign.
