Sindh Governor, CM say awareness of malaria essential

KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2026) Governor Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Sha, on World Malaria Day, said that malaria is a dangerous disease and its elimination requires collective efforts.

In their separate messages, they emphasized that public awareness and adoption of preventive measures are essential to protect against malaria.

They stated that the government is taking effective steps to combat malaria, including improving the provision of spraying, medicines, and healthcare facilities.

The Governor and Chief Minister also stressed the importance of strengthening anti-malaria campaigns with the support of the World Health Organization.
