Khairpur Mir’s districts on Monday to assess progress of the People’s Poverty Reduction Program (PPRP),

funded by the Sindh Government.

The visit was facilitated by Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Regional General Manager (RGM) Khairpur, Aumir Abbas, along with District Managers and the Manager Finance from the Head Office, who coordinated interactions with local communities.

During the tour, the delegation met with community members and beneficiaries in various villages, where Village Organizations (VOs) welcomed them and shared their achievements under the PPRP. Beneficiaries highlighted their participation in key interventions, including the Community Investment Fund, Income Generating Grants, Enterprise Development Fund (EDF), Low-Cost Housing, Kitchen Gardening, and Village Improvement Plans, all of which have significantly enhanced household incomes and livelihood opportunities.

The delegation appreciated the community-driven approach and acknowledged the positive impact of PPRP initiatives on rural development and poverty alleviation in the region.
