HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jun, 2026) The Sindh government's Public Sector Development Program (PSPD) for fiscal 2026-27 under the head of Sindh Local Government Department has earmarked approximately Rs9 billion for some 105 development schemes in Hyderabad.
According to the PSDP document, Rs709 million will be set aside for a 13-kilometer partial ring road project starting from Hussainabad chowk on Autobahn road to Hala Naka area in the city's outer edges.
The project's cost has also been revised from Rs3.2 billion to Rs5.87 billion.
Likewise, the SLGD has also proposed allocation of Rs546.581 million for the construction of an underpass, link roads and beautification works at Qasim Chowk.
The scheme, which will receive its initial funding in the upcoming fiscal, will be completed with the investment of Rs2.186 billion.
Another arterial road in Hyderabad, stretching from Thandi Sarak to Latifabad underpass, will get Rs519.301 million funds in 2026-27 to complete by the end of June, 2027, at the cost of Rs1.

The SLGD has proposed some 33 projects pertaining to construction and reconstruction of asphalt roads and concrete block streets in Hyderabad.
The department has also earmarked funds for construction of water filtration plants and laying of pipelines connected with the new plants.
A sum of Rs336.515 million will be allocated for laying a 32 inch diameter pipeline supplying water from 6MGD plant in Latifabad unit number 4.
Another amount of Rs125 will be released for laying a pipeline from Khanpota filter plant to Deh Shah Bukhari in Qasimabad.
The Ghangra Mori filter plant, which is currently being upgraded to 10 MGD from 5 MGD at the cost of Rs1.33 billion, will receive Rs12.441 million funds.
However, the construction of a 6 MGD filter plant in Kohsar town of Latifabad is still pending approval with a likely cost of Rs329.397 million.
The status of Combined Effluent Treatment Plant (CEPT) for Hyderabad SITE area is still unapproved.
