SITE industrial zone coping with severe water shortage, Ghangra

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jun, 2026) Hyderabad SITE Association of Trade and Industry's (HSATI) Chairman Zubair Ghangra has deplored that continuous shortage of water in the SITE area has been severely affecting the industrial production.

In a press statement issued here on Sunday, Ghangra reiterated that water was a fundamental requirement for every industry and without a reliable supply of water, the industrial wheel could not function.

He explained that the textiles, food processing, packaging, rice processing, oil, chemicals and other manufacturing units require a continuous supply of clean water to maintain production standards and operational efficiency.

He added that the uncertain water situation in Hyderabad SITE was directly affecting industrial output, production quality, operational costs and the overall competitiveness of local industries.

The association's chairman demanded that the Sindh government, the Industries Department, SITE Limited and the Hyderabad Water and Sewerage Corporation should immediately restore uninterrupted water supply to the site area.
