SIU arrests two extortionists from Defence View

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Feb, 2026) The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Karachi Police claimed to have carried out a significant operation against extortionists, arresting two suspects from the Defence View area of Karachi.

According to an SIU spokesperson on Tuesday, the arrested suspects were identified as Asif Khan and Shiraz.

The accused had allegedly demanded an extortion amount of Rs15 million from a clearing and forwarding businessman operating in the Baloch Colony area.

During the operation, police recovered a mobile phone and SIM card allegedly used by the suspects to make extortion calls. Officials said the criminal record of the arrested individuals is being verified, while further investigation into the case is underway.
