Six arrested for gambling

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jul, 2026) Waris Khan Police arrested six persons allegedly involved in gambling during a raid and recovered stake money, five mobile phones and playing cards from their possession.

According to a police spokesman, the raid was conducted as part of the ongoing campaign against criminal activities in the city.

A case has been registered against the suspects, who were taken into custody for further legal proceedings.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Rawal Saad Arshad said the accused would be prosecuted based on solid evidence collected during the investigation.

He said gambling was a source of various social evils and reiterated that strict action against such illegal activities would continue.
