Six drug suspects arrested in Attock police crackdown

Police in Attock arrested six suspected drug dealers during separate operations across the district and recovered heroin, hashish and liquor, officials said on Wednesday.

According to police, Assistant Sub-Inspector Qasim Ali of Hazro Police recovered two kilograms of heroin from a suspect identified as Sawab Gul, a resident of Peshawar, during a checking operation.

In separate raids, Sub-Inspector Mahmood Ahmad of Saddar Attock Police seized 1,200 grams of hashish from Jahangir Ahmad in Sheen Bagh, while Sub-Inspector Noor Shah of Basal Police recovered 1,180 grams of hashish from Arshad, a resident of Kohat.

Police said further recoveries were made in Hassan Abdal, where Assistant Sub-Inspector Tariq Mahmood confiscated 1,600 grams of hashish from Waris Ali, while Sub-Inspector Amir Mahmood recovered 10 litres of liquor from another suspect. In a separate action, Assistant Sub-Inspector Fayaz Khan seized 1,800 grams of hashish from Umar Farooq during a raid in Saddar Hassan Abdal. Authorities said all suspects had been arrested and cases were registered against them under relevant laws.
