Six held after court premises brawl goes viral

KHANEWAL, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Jun, 2026) Police arrested six suspects after a video of aerial firing and a brawl outside Mian Channu courts

went viral on social media, prompting District Police Officer Muhammad Abid to order immediate action.

City Police Station Mian Channu, headed by SHO Rashid Nadeem, swiftly moved against those

involved in the violence.

The arrested suspects were identified as Zubair Khan son of Lal Khan, Ali Nawaz son of Shah

Nawaz, Mohsin Ali son of Ghulam Mustafa, Fauji Abrar, Aftab son of Shahbaz, and Asif son of

Shahbaz.

731/26 under Sections 324, 427, 148, and 149 PPC was registered

against the accused at City Police Station Mian Channu.

Initial investigations revealed that both groups had appeared for court hearings when the

confrontation erupted outside, involving aerial firing and assault with batons.

Police also recovered weapons used in the incident.

"Protection of lives and property and maintenance of law and order is Khanewal Police's

top priority," DPO Muhammad Abid said, adding that all those involved would be brought

to justice and no one would be considered above the law.
