DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jun, 2026) The Dera police have arrested a six-member motorcycle theft gang and recovered nine stolen motorcycles along with Rs 150,000 cash during a successful crackdown conducted in the City Circle.
According to police spokesman, a police team headed by Station House Officer (SHO) Cantt Abdul Ghaffar Khan arrested six suspects during targeted operations against motorcycle thieves.
The police identified the arrested suspects as Mukhtiar, son of Bahawal; Mujeeb; Majeed; Ashfaq; Farhan; Sarmad; and Muhammad Ali Nawaz. The suspects were allegedly involved in several motorcycle theft cases registered at Cantt Police Station.

The police said further investigations are underway to determine the suspects’ involvement in other theft and criminal cases.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) City Circle Malik Abid Iqbal said police operations against thieves and other criminal elements would be continued without any discrimination to ensure public safety and protect citizens’ property.
