ATTOCK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Feb, 2026) The “Skill & Employment Mela 2026” was held in Attock on Tuesday under the auspices of the Punjab Vocational Training Council (PVTC), drawing an impressive gathering of dignitaries, industrialists, educationists and students. Deputy Commissioner Rao Atif Raza and Khalid Masood Chaudhry, Chairman PVTC, attended the vibrant event as chief guests, underscoring the government’s firm commitment to promoting technical education and skilled employment.

The mela aimed to highlight the growing importance of practical skills among youth; moreover, it sought to reaffirm institutional resolve to create dignified job opportunities. A large number of participants from various walks of life attended the event, which prominently showcased the transformative potential of vocational training in addressing unemployment.

During the exhibition, students set up dynamic stalls featuring projects based on diverse technical disciplines.

Practical demonstrations and innovative models were presented in electrical work, fashion designing, information technology and machinery; consequently, the displays received widespread appreciation.

On the occasion, the dedicated efforts of Tariq Mahmood — DBOM President PVTC Attock and Chairman of the FPCCI Standing Committee on Health — were warmly acknowledged for successfully organising the event.

Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner emphasised that in today’s competitive era, a degree alone is insufficient; therefore, youth must actively pursue vocational and technical skills to become self-reliant and contribute effectively to national development.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, certificates and shields were distributed among outstanding students and teachers in recognition of their exemplary performance.
