SLA announces Literary, Digital Awards for 2025 contributions

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) The meeting of the awarding committee of Sindhi language Authority was held under the chairmanship of chairman of the organization Dr. Sher Mhrani.

Dr. Mansoor Thalhi's book, Aziz Kangrani's article and Ghulam Murtaza Shah's mobile application won the second prize.

In the meeting, the best books published in the year 2025, research papers and applications created on the internet were announced in the light of the decision of the judges appointed by the award committee.

According to the judges' decision, (1) In the category of Sindhi language, linguistics, language research, lexicography, grammar, dialects and Indus script, Dr. Mansoor Thala's book "Indus script (Sindhi and Telugu language relations, traces and significance)" won the first prize, which will be given a shield and a cash prize of one lakh rupees.

The English book Sindhi language and script received a prize of one lakh rupees.

It was decided to award a research paper on any new and unique topic of Sindhi language (the symbol of Sindhi script: a new perspective). Thirty thousand rupees will be given along with a commemorative shield.

It was decided to give an award and fifty thousand rupees to the application of Syed Ghulam Murtaza Shah (Latifi Lat-Shah Jo Risalo) in the new progressive category.

In the meeting, it was also decided that soon a program will be announced and the prizes will be awarded.
