Small, medium businesses are the backbone of Pakistan's economy: Sindh Governor

KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jun, 2026) Governor of Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi, in his special message on the occasion of Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) Day, described small and medium-sized businesses are the backbone of Pakistan's economy.

He said that the MSME sector plays a vital role in the country's economic growth, employment generation, and export promotion.

The Governor Sindh stated that providing equal opportunities to youth, women, and aspiring entrepreneurs is essential for building a strong and self-reliant Pakistan. He emphasized that innovation, modern technology, and sustainable industrial development are indispensable for enabling MSMEs to compete effectively in the global marketplace.
