SMBBMU 15th Annual Sports Week concluded

LARKANA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU), Larkana, concluded its 15th Annual Sports Week on Friday, in which students from all constituent colleges participated.

The week-long event showcased a diverse range of sports activities, fostering a spirit of healthy competition, teamwork, and unity among students.

A total of 15 sports competitions were held, including cricket, football, badminton, tug of war, marathon race, table tennis, disk throw, snooker, chess, and several other games. Winners were awarded trophies, shields, and medals in recognition of their achievements.

The award distribution ceremonies were organized at GMMMC Sukkur and CMC Larkana. The main concluding ceremony took place at the historical Cricket Stadium of Chandka Medical College, featuring an impressive fireworks display that added to the celebratory atmosphere.

Addressing the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Prof Nusrat Shah commended the students for creating a lively and engaging environment across the university. She described the occasion as memorable, appreciated the enthusiasm energy displayed by participants.

She emphasized that sports play a vital role in personal development, where both victory and defeat contribute to learning and growth. She appreciated Dr Bilawal Shaikh and students organising team for putting together a historical Sports Week.

The event concluded on a festive note, with the Vice Chancellor and the Principal joining students in a cultural dance, reflecting the inclusive and celebratory spirit of the occasion.
