Son arrested for stealing gold worth Rs4.8 million in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Apr, 2026) Police have solved a recent house theft case, revealing that the suspect was the homeowner’s own son.

According to police, the accused had stolen 10 tolas of gold jewelry worth more than Rs4.8 million. He was living separately from the family and allegedly entered the house during their absence to carry out the theft.

During the investigation, Waris Khan police expanded the scope of inquiry and took the suspect into custody. He later confessed to the crime.On his disclosure and identification, the stolen gold jewelry was successfully recovered.

SP Rawal, Saad Arshad commended police team performance and said the accused will be presented in the court with solid evidence for further legal proceedings.
