SP chairs meeting on Muharram security arrangements in DIKhan

Dera Ismail Khan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jun, 2026) Superintendent of Police (City Division) Muhammad Nauman chaired a meeting to review security arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram and ensure its peaceful observance across the city.

The meeting, held on the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Ziauddin Ahmed, was attended by DSP City Malik Abid Iqbal, DSP Suburb Hafiz Muhammad Adnan, SHOs and other police officials.

Participants were briefed on Muharram processions, religious gatherings, designated routes, security plans, entry and exit points, parking arrangements, and search-and-sweep operations.

Speaking on the occasion, SP Muhammad Nauman directed officers to ensure foolproof security measures, maintain strict vigilance on suspicious individuals, and enforce the code of conduct during Muharram.

He emphasized that all available resources should be utilized to protect lives and property and maintain law and order.

The meeting also reaffirmed the commitment to promoting inter-sect harmony, brotherhood and peace during Muharram-ul-Haram.
